When you next log in to the BigCommerce, admin, you’ll be given the opportunity to try out the new navigation.
This design refresh brings a brighter and more streamlined user experience.
Simplified sidebar navigation
On the left-hand side, you’ll notice a simplified admin navigation. While the menu items are still structured as an accordion, submenus now open in place rather than sliding into view, ensuring you’re never far from any option. Additionally, some menu items have been renamed and shortened for clarity.
Store Switcher
If you manage multiple BigCommerce stores, you’re likely familiar with the store switcher. Its new home is in the top-left corner of the screen, making it easier to switch between stores quickly.
Permanent top bar
The top bar, which houses the admin quick search, notifications, account settings, and help links, is now a permanent fixture across all sections of the control panel—not just the dashboard.
The search box’s new, more prominent location encourages users to take advantage of its powerful quick navigation. It surfaces products, orders, and customers, as well as specific areas of the admin such as settings pages and installed apps.
Share your feedback
Once you’ve experienced the new navigation, don’t forget to share your feedback with BigCommerce. You can easily find the feedback option in the help menu located in the top bar. If needed, you can also toggle between the new and old navigation within the same menu.
